Emergency Plan For Tenants

If you are a Tenant experiencing an out of hours emergency:

Tenants are to contact our Emergency Line on 0417 183 451. If needed, please leave a voicemail, and send an SMS for a member of the team to call you back.

Electrical Emergency

Prior to contacting your Property Manager:

  • Please first contact Western Power on 13 13 51 or visit their website westernpower.com.au to determine if there is an outage in your area.
  • Check the Residual Currency Device switch (RCD) (usually found in the property metre box) has not tripped.

What is considered an emergency?

  • No electricity to the property
  • No hot water resulting from an outage from an electric hot water system

Plumbing Emergency

Prior to contacting your Property Manager:

  • For a gas hot water system, check that the pilot light is still alight
  • If there is no water, first contact Water Corporation on 13 13 85 or at www.watercorporation.com.au/Outages-and-works and check for outages in your area
  • If you have a burst pipe, turn the water off at the mains as a priority
  • Smell gas? Locate the gas lever and turn off as a priority

What is considered an emergency?

  • No gas
  • No water
  • No hot water resulting from an outage from a gas hot water system
  • Gas leak
  • Burst pipe
  • Overflowing drains

Break In Emergency

Prior to contacting your Property Manager:

  • Call 000 if you are in immediate danger or injured
  • Contact 131 444 to make a police report
  • Ensure that you request a police report number.
  • Provide the above information, along with photos in writing the next business day to pm@glcresidential.com.au

Severe Storm Emergency

Prior to contacting your Property Manager:

  • Call 000 if you are in immediate danger or injured
  • If you experience a falling tree causing roof damage, or a severe leak because of storm damage, contact SES (State Emergency Services) on 132 500
  • Do not stay in the house if you believe that there is a danger to yourself
  • Provide all information, along with photos in writing the next business day to pm@glcresidential.com.au

Please note that if a Contractor is requested to attend the Property after hours for a request not deemed as an emergency (as stated above) the Tenant(s) will be liable for 100% of the invoice fee.
